Doggy Days Out in November
Here are some fun doggy days out to make the most of November 2011 and start to get you in the mood for Christmas...

, Uttoxeter Racecourse, 20th November, 10am-4pm

Take your dog to an early Christmas party! Entrance is £1 for adults. Children and dogs can come along for free. There is a novelty dog show including Dogs Christmas Fancy Dress, Santa's Grotto with presents for dogs and plenty of stalls and refreshments all in aid of the Border Collie Rescue Trust. I've noticed that if you have a Border Collie you are more likely to win at the dog show as the judges like Collies (and why not?) - but it's all in a good cause and it will definitely make you start to feel Christmassy.
, Earls Court 1, London, 12th-13th November 10am-5pm

Adults £11, Children £8. Unfortunately your dog can't come with you. If you've never been and don't know what to expect this is like a smaller version of Crufts. There will be loads of Trade stalls selling innovative doggy products so that you can find the perfect gift for the dog owner that has everything. This is combined with great agility competitions and Scruffts, the famous crossbreed dog show. There are labradoodles and mutts galore. We saw a Bulldog - Shih Tzu cross last year, but the commentator didn't shorten that one...
, Euston Road, London, 6th November 10am-4pm

Enjoy some retail therapy at this traditional fair. There will be approximately 40 stalls raising funds for fantastic charities that help animals across the UK. You can bag some Christmas presents for family and your furry friends. Admission is £2 for adults and free for children. This event is guaranteed to be a Christmas cracker!
, Nantwich Civic Hall, Nantwich, Cheshire, 19th November opens 10am

Father Christmas and his greyhound sleigh will be at the fair to wish you a Merry Christmas and there are prizes for the best dressed hounds. Maybe this is where the real Santa's Little Helper can be found! There will be loads of craft and gift stalls and festive refreshments. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture the perfect picture of your dog.
, Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre, Uddingston, Glasgow, 27th November 12 noon-3pm

Last year the weather was too festive and this event had to be cancelled due to heavy snow. We will keep our paws crossed for better weather this year! Visit Santa Paws in his grotto, enjoy warming drinks and mince pies and buy a Dogs Trust Bandana for your dog. If it's as cold as last year you might need one too!
