An UPPER Broughton couple has launched a website to
help dog owners plan days out and holidays with their four-legged friend.
Simon Howgill and Louise Dolan, who have a rescue
dog called Holly, spent the last couple of years researching places to visit
and stay that welcome dogs.
Louise said: “Dog owners were often surprised
because they didn’t realise their dog would have been allowed in the places we
went with Holly.”
“It soon became clear that dog owners needed an
easy way of finding out about dog-friendly places, so that’s when we decided to
start our website www.roverrecommended.com”
The website is growing fast and already has
thousands of B&Bs, hotels, cottages, pubs and attractions that allow dogs.
One of the site’s most useful features is the
‘what’s near’ button which can find things to do near you.
Simon added: “We want new recommendations and
reviews from the dog-owning community that dog owners will trust.”
“The website isn’t about making money – it’s just
about you and your dog having more fun together. “Our objective is to create a
nationwide community of dog owners who can share experiences and pass on tips.”
