Well, the weather was dire but the arboretum more than made up for it! What a lovely place and how wonderful to be able to take the dog too. A beautiful variety of trees and birds too. Would have spent longer exploring here if the weather had been a bit better. Recommend the café, menu looked good and not overpriced. Had tea and homemade cake which was delicious (nearly asked if they did doggy bags!)

We had a lovely walk at Batsford Arboretum this weekend. The daffodils, helebores and other spring flowers are magnificent at the moment so it's a really good time to visit. Dogs are welcome on a lead and my dog Max had a brilliant time paddling in the streams. We bought a cuppa from the gift shop at the entrance but they are building a swanky new cafe which should be open soon.
