Over 500 birds, including parrots, falcons and flamingos, are housed in the park and on the lakes. Birdland is the only place in the UK that you can see King Penguins.
Dogs are allowed in all areas except the café but must be kept on a lead. There is a dog water bowl outside the café and a covered picnic area where you can eat with your dog.

One of the finest and most important collection of shrubs and trees in the world. Enjoy a level off lead walkies with your dog on well defined paths in Silk Wood.
Dogs are very welcome in Silk Wood, but please keep them on a lead near livestock and in the car park. Dogs are not allowed in the Old Arboretum, Maples Restaurant, the Great Oak Hall and the shop.

Travel on a heritage steam train through the beautiful Forest of Dean. Passengers can travel to Lydney Junction and Parkend and there is a museum, gift shop and café.
Dogs on leads are welcome on the trains, except Santa Specials or Day out with Thomas unless guide dogs. Do not let dogs sit on seats and try to keep them from obstructing the aisles.
