Cosy 18th Century inn set in a pleasant village in the spectacular countryside of the Lake District National Park. The recently refurbished inn serves a wide range of real ales. Meals made with local fresh produce are served every evening and at weekend lunchtimes. On cold days there is a welcoming fire in the lounge bar and bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable.
Dogs are allowed in bedrooms and in public areas, except dining areas at mealtimes. There is a charge of £5 per dog per night. No bitches in season please. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds and they must not be left unattended in your room at any time.

Farmhouse that was once owned by Beatrix Potter and featured as Hill Top farm in the movie "Miss Potter". The old oak panelled walls and floors give the house great character, however sound travels easily through the house so it is not suitable for small children and there are no televisions.

Beech Hill House is ideally situated for visiting the the South Lakes and Furness Peninsulas, North Lancashire including Morecambe Bay and the waterfalls and caves of the Yorkshire Dales. It is also within easy reach of Newby Bridge, Lakeside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Hawkshead.
All sizes and numbers of dogs are welcome. There is an additional charge of £4 per dog per night. Please don't leave your dog unattended. Your dog can join you for breakfast if you check with other guests first. A dog goodie basket is given to visiting dogs. There is a small garden at the side of the house and a disused road nearby where dogs can be let off leads. The back garden is for the owners' use only for their fostered greyhounds. The local pub is dog friendly.

The lodge is set on the edge of the magnificent Grizedale Forest, which has a fascinating variety of bird and wildlife, including deer. In summer the balcony and patio are the perfect place to relax. Bedrooms are comfortable and some have four-poster beds and splendid views. Hearty breakfasts with whisky laced porridge, Cumberland sausage and locally cured bacon, can be enjoyed in the attractive breakfast room. Trout fishing can be arranged.
Dogs are allowed in bedrooms but are not allowed in the public rooms. Dogs can be exercised in the surrounding forest.
