There is a splendid entrance hall and impressive dining room, where meals are served at a large dining table. The owner of the guesthouse is an expert on wild and gourmet mushrooms and shares her knowledge through seminars all year round. The lunch and dinner menu heavily features local wild mushrooms.
Dogs are allowed in bedrooms and separate dog accomodation is also available. Dogs can be exercised in the grounds under supervision. Dog food can be provided on request. The resident dogs are two Great Danes, Camilla and Guinevere and Otto the Black Labrador.

The Thatched House has its own heated outdoor swimming pool and also offers stabling for guests' horses, for those that wish to explore the forest on horseback.
