500 year old pub and hotel set in attractive gardens and woodland near the lake. The pub serves a wide selection of malt whiskies and is well known for the quality of its food.
Clean, well behaved dogs on a lead are allowed in the bar in the evenings. They are sometimes allowed in the lounge if food is not being served. Dogs are also allowed to stay in the Garden Lodge guest bedrooms.
Historic inn with superb views of Causey Pike. The pub has beamed ceilings, two bars and open fires. Food is served all day from Easter to the end of October.

The Boot and Shoe is a 17th Century Coaching Inn, set in the picturesque village of Greystoke of Tarzan Fame and the Gordon Richards Racing Stables. It is a very friendly and welcoming pub with good food. Worth a visit if you're visiting the North Lakes.
