 Review title:Bank holiday Break
Reviewer:alison, jim with reggie and ollie
 Date of visit:May, 2013
 Overall experience:

We stayed at the White Horse for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend with our 2 dogs. All the staff were friendly and attentive and Clare was lovely, they were very accomodating to ours and the dogs needs. The food was always really tasty, nicely presented and very prompt, there was also plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu, I am a vegetarian so when i asked for a veggie option of a full breakfast this wasnt a problem at all. Our dogs werent just tolerated they were made to feel very welcome and recieved plenty of fuss and attention, they were allowed in the bar area at anytime and they also came to breakfast with us again in the bar area away from the other guests who ate in the lounge, Clare also said we could of left them in the room at breakfast if we would of preffered. You can walk to Rutland water from the doorstep and there is an enclosed small wood where you can let the dogs off lead to have a run nearby. We do hope to return in the future.

Enjoyed two meals here including an excellent mixed grill from the specials board. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dog are allowed 'below the granite step' which includes most of the seating for meals but not the bar area.

 Overall experience:

A really good place to eat and take your dog. Owners and staff are very dog friendly and (well behaved) dogs are welcome in any of the various eating areas. Food is great with changing menus each month and local produce is very much in evidence on the menu. Lovely grounds with ducks and chickens roaming freely so must keep dogs on leads. Huge outdoor chess set to keep children amused when the weather is good. We are regular visitors and love it.

Review title:would not give this the dogs dinner
 Reviewer:david e basombe
 Date of visit:April, 2013
 Overall experience:

After traveling up to this venue from where we where staying on holiday to be charged £17.90 each to find that our dog was not welcome in most of the exibition halls. As our dog is concidered to be part of my family now we declined to pay and spent our time touring the kent country side, best thing we did. RD&H railway and tenderten where very happy to have dogs money well spent both on entrance and gift shops sorry to say this as my wife and i was looking forward to going round this venue. Excuse given valuable exibits. I know that my dog is well behaved in fact better behaved than some children who would run around and touch exibits so i do not accept this as i know from experiance that children that who are not correctly supervised can do a lot of damage as i used to exibit myself at country fares and my exibits where damaged by little hands not little paws. sorry you lost out

Review title:Great food ales and atmosphere
Reviewer:Owner and her four legged friend :)
 Date of visit:April, 2013
 Overall experience:

Myself and my small four legged friend visited this pub on route via the coastal paths between carlyon bay and porthpean, and thought, at last I can bring my dog into the pub without being turned away. Inside there was a wonderful bar lady who came over and greeted us and even gave my dog a treat! Wonderful! The staff and other customers all seemed very happy and content with myself and my pet being there. Some places they look at you unwelcoming. But not here at all! Highly recommended! There was a lovely selection of good local ales and you can even try before you buy! I only had a portion of chips but they were the best i've had in a long time! Big chunky chips again! Very happy customers we were indeed and will visit again in the future. Note: there is also a big garden which dogs can go in as well. 10/10
